Here's our bridge crew on the just-completed Steel Bridge. Some of the men
include Louis Staudinger, Guy Schafer, George Robison, Bonakee, Harry Rastall, and Hub
Bowman. These men know how to work, a concept of which too many men are entirely ignorant
these days. Having our chief engineer (with bowler and cigar just left of center) serve
also as construction foreman really streamlines the ECN process. If something doesn't
quite fit the way the blueprints show it, his expert crew can make it fit, and then he can
change the drawings to match and sign the changes on the job site. This is just another
example of our progress toward a truly paperless office.
